Lash Extensions

What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are a practical, convenient and beautiful alternative to the daily use of mascara. They are made up of unique synthetic fibers, which make them super soft and light. Each synthetic lash or fan is attached to a natural eyelash. It is a very careful and intense service that requires skill and precision. Once applied, these lashes offer an effortless glam that is difficult to detect even close up.

Are eyelash extensions the right choice for me?

Eyelash extensions are not for everyone. This is a high maintenance beauty treatment. It requires very gentle care in order for the lashes to last long and to stay in good condition. Once the lashes are attached you must not rub or pull on them. You must not wear any mascara or use eyelash curlers. Lashes are to be filled every two or three weeks depending on each clients lasting experience.

How long do lash extensions last?

It is an individual process. We lose one eyelash almost every day. We also grow a new lash to replace the one that fell out. Extensions can stay on up to one full month with proper care and maintenance. However, factors such as eyelash growth, lifestyle, and general after care will affect how long the lashes last.

Can I remove lashes myself?

Please do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, seek professional help from your technician. Unruly Beauty will not be held liable for any damage that you may cause attempting to remove lash extensions on your own.

Should I clean my lashes?

Absolutely! Make sure you clean your lashes with the solution suggested to you and brush them with your lash wand, cleanliness also helps the lashes last longer.

Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

No, not at all! The lash adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond, specifically for human lashes. The adhesive dries very soft on the lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. Poor care or application is the only thing that can harm your natural lashes, and that is why it is very important to clean your lashes properly, and pick your Lash Artist wisely.

Should I inform my Lash Artist about my allergies?

Definitely! It is extremely important to inform your Lash Artist of any allergies or special needs you may have. If you are allergic to latex, rubber, or tape it is essential to let us know. Also, if you wear contacts please be prepared to remove them before your lash procedure.

Wax Services

How long does my hair need to be in order to be waxed?

Your hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice), to allow the wax to grip around the hair. If it is your first time waxing, Unruly recommends you refrain from shaving for at least two weeks before your appointment. After your first wax, it is recommended to wax every three to four weeks. Then go home and throw your razors away because you'll never have to shave again.

What should I not do before my wax appointment?

Do not tan the area you plan to wax 24-28 hours before your appointment. Do not consume significant amounts of alchol or caffeine before your reservation. Both can cause your pores to tighten resulting in a more uncomfortable experience. Save the partying for afterwards. Latly, do not use any numbing creams. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they do not penetrate the skin deep enough to be effective.

What should I do during my wax to make the experience easier?

Relax. Breathe. Find your happy place. The more relaxed you are the better your wax experience will be. Also, be sure to inform your wax artist of any medications you are taking such as Antibiotics, Accutance or Retin-A, which may not be compatible with waxing. Lastly wear xomfortable cotton panties to avoid irritation. They dont have to be cute, but hey, it couldn't hurt.
